Heather Ann Shannon is a Canadian Author and Visual Artist.
Growing up in central Alberta, Canada, I found myself falling into worlds of my own. I’ve been writing since my early teens. Dreaming up scenes and characters that come to life inside the rich fabric of my mind, to escape the troubles of daily life. Finally, with the support of my husband, two adult children, and best friend, I have found the courage to step forward and share my writing with you.
I am a writer of short stories, poetry, and when the words refuse to flow, I refill my creative well by drawing, painting, and editing my photographs.
Inspired by authors like Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Hitchcock, Poe, H.G. Wells, Ursula K. Le Guin, Shannon Drake and Danielle Steele, I will bring to you an escape worthy realm of fantasy. It all starts with a Science Fictionesque, action epic novel, Alsperatus, due out in 2020.
